Course Description: |
A theoretical and practical session on adult venepuncture, content includes: Professional Issues, Relevant Anatomy & Physiology, correct technique for adult venepuncture and potential problems and how to deal with them. Practical skill will start to develop using a prosthetic arm in a simulation situation. PLEASE NOTE: BEFORE DOING THE COURSE, YOU MUST HAVE AN ALLOCATED MENTOR WHO IS COMPETENT TO ASSESS YOUR COMPETENCIES. THIS MUST BE A REGISTERED PRACTITIONER OR A PHLEBOTOMIST ASSESSOR. |
