New starters must attend day 1 and 2 as part of their induction but all other staff can attend the relevant sessions required.
Training includes Braden Competency training and Compression bandage training as the last sessions, staff who do not apply compression can leave at this point.

Overview of PUP and Wound assessment, Braden competencies, Compression bandaging competencies (only for staff who will bandage, other staff do not have attend the final session of this day)
Day1 - Pressure ulcer pathophysiology and prevention with aSSKINg; Braden competency; Pressure ulcer category competency;
Wound assessment; Compression bandaging competency
Day 2 - Principles of ANTT; Cavity packing guidance;
Dressings formulary;
TNPWT competency;
Introduction to lower limb ulceration;
Compression bandage competency |
