Course Description:
Being able to deal with difficult conversations effectively is an essential skill that is invaluable in maintaining good relationships and retaining business. From time to time all managers/team leaders will face conversations which they anticipate will be difficult and which they may feel ill-equipped to handle. This interactive and informative session will provide you with valuable techniques and strategies that will make it easier to handle difficult conversations successfully. By adopting the right approach, preparing yourself carefully and developing the right skills, mindset and behaviour, you will be able maximise your ability to handle the conversations effectively and steer them to successful conclusions acceptable to all involved. You will learn how to prepare for difficult situations, get the conversations off to the best possible start and manage the emotions. You will be encouraged to share your personal experiences and possible solutions with the other participants during this session.
