The aim of the course is to provide Assistant Practitioners with basic knowledge about bladder & bowel health, common continence problems, promotion of continence, gathering information towards an individuals continence assessment or reassessment (following which the qualified nurse is responsible for reviewing the information gathered and planning care as appropriate) & management of incontinence to enable them to support clients with continence problems more effectively. |
