Assistant practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Nurses who work with clients who falls, and who are involved in initial assessments / falls assessments/falls interventions. Band 3 working clinically with providing falls prevention interventions or who have a special interests in falls. |
| Course Description: |
To gain a clear understanding of the importance of falls prevention. To be able to identify falls risk factors and how to reduce these risk factors, to improve quality of falls assessments, improve awareness and use of the guide to action tool for falls. To gain an awareness of the importance of bone health in preventing injurious falls, understand hot to complete FRAX and refer to appropriate team. |
