Course title: 0-5 Healthy Lifestyles & Programme of Care (POC)
Target audience: Children & Young People's Support Workers CYPSW, Children & Young People's Practitioners (CYPP), Community Public Health Nurses (CPHN)
Course Description: This training provides an overview of the evidence-based public health messages that support children, young people, and families to make informed healthy lifestyle choices. Participants will explore the key principles of a healthy, balanced diet using the Eatwell Guide, gain an understanding of common nutrition issues affecting child and adolescent health, and develop practical nutrition knowledge to support healthy eating behaviours. The training also covers current physical activity recommendations for children and young people, helping practitioners promote active lifestyles with confidence. The training covers the implementation of the Healthy Lifestyle Programme of Care within practice. Staff must complete Healthy Lifestyle training prior to enrolling in Programme of Care training. ** PLEASE SELF-ENROL VIA THE LINK TO ESR BELOW **
