Course Description: |
This Mandatory/Statutory Moving and handling course is 2-Yearly and is provided at Nottingham CityCare Community Health Services. It is guided by the National Back exchange and adopts The ALL WALES PASSPORT modular approach: A. Manual Handling theory which needs to be completed by e learning prior to attendance at the practical session; B. Inanimate load handling and ergonomics; C. Sitting, standing and walking E. Falls prevention awareness.
This session includes demonstrations and practical elements in a simulated environment which candidates must be dressed appropriately to carry out the activities within the session. This includes wearing appropriate clothing and suitable footwear, hair tied back where possible to carry out the practical elements safely. Anyone attending this session not dressed appropriately, due to health and safety, will be asked to leave and book onto another session.
This session has a minimum of 4 candidates and maximum of 8. Sessions will be cancelled if minimum candidates’ number have not been reached. |
