| Course Description: |
This course will consist of two parts. Part one is Speech Language and Communication and part two is Behaviour and Parenting POC. The courses will provide the knowledge and skills for practitioners to understand neurotypical development of SLC and language acquisition and identify any delays. It will support with delivering interventions and when to refer to specialist services. Behaviour and parenting is the same and will consider how behaviour impacts upon daily living, and how as practitioner's, we can explore behaviour with parent/carers in order to support with behaviour strategies including role modelling and referring on to appropriate services. The session will also look at behaviour change and delivering care in line with the Programme of Care Standard Operating Procedure. |
