| Course Description: |
The 1/2 day course will consist of two parts. Part one is Speech Language and Communication and part two is Healthy Lifestyles. The course will provide the knowledge and skills for practitioners to understand neurotypical development of SLC and language acquisition and any delays. It will support with delivering interventions such as a POC or referral to specialist services if appropriate. Healthy Lifestyles examines the importance of healthy eating and nutrition for children including portion size, addressing weight, and how to use the Healthy Lifestyle POC Resource Kit including goal setting as part of the programme. |
