This two hour interactive session equips managers with the confidence, knowledge, and practical tools to deliver a consistent, welcoming and high quality onboarding experience for every new starter. Using the updated Onboarding Manager’s Guide the session focuses on how managers can create the best possible introduction, set meaningful induction objectives, and understand how onboarding links into ongoing performance, supervision, and development conversations.
Participants will explore what “good onboarding” looks like at CityCare, how to apply the step by step onboarding process, and how to use the checklists and templates to ensure a supportive and inclusive start for colleagues. We will also cover the practicalities of setting clear induction objectives, maintaining consistent check ins, and using early conversations to lay the foundations for successful performance management later in the year. |
