| Course Description: |
This training provides an introduction to inclusive, respectful practice when working with Trans+ patients. It aims to build staff confidence and understanding by exploring key terminology, experiences and challenges faced by Trans+ communities, including insights from current research and national reports. The session focuses on developing practical awareness to support safe, person centred care, helping staff feel more confident in conversations and interactions with Trans+ patients. It is designed to improve understanding of health inequalities and barriers experienced by this group, while equipping staff with the knowledge to respond appropriately and sensitively in clinical settings. The training also signposts to wider resources, organisations and evidence to support continued learning and development. |
