Target audience: |
District Nurses, RGN''s, Care Support Workers, Assistant Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Health Care Assistants.
All newly qualified staff/ staff new in post to organisations, or staff who have not had training for 3-5 years should complete a full days Pressure Ulcer Prevention training as essential clinical training, followed by the update training every 3 years |
Course Description: |
Pressure ulcers cause unnecessary pain and suffering and can potentially lead to infection and death. It is recognised that 95% of pressure ulcers can be prevented and there are national initiatives to eliminate all avoidable pressure ulcers. The Midlands and East Strategic Health Authority are driving this campaign forward with the introduction of the Skin Bundle. The training day will provide you with the knowledge to help you prevent pressure ulcers Quality and Financial Implications.
